In Versilia you can enjoy green hills and spend holidays in contact with nature, going trekking, mountain the, mountain bike or horse riding as well as enjoy further sports on your own or with a skilled guide. The distance between the mountains and the see side is quite short. As an alternative to the beach and sea activities, to refresh and resource yourself, you are welcome for long walks in the pine woods, the numberous natural parcs and retreats.

Versilia is a beautiful area, inserted between the Apuan Alps and the sea. There are many possible paths and tours to customize; thus allowing the opportunity to immerge oneself among the wonders of the landscape. Admiring the sharp outline of the mountaintops, crossing steep ridges and descending through a great variety of mountain and hillside environments, is a wonderful adventure that you can experience visiting this area. The mountains that in their subsoil preserve spectacular phenomena of karstic origin, such as the Corchia’s Cavern. In the archaeological area it is possible to watch marble being extracted.

Hiking
Our guide has prepared wonderful itineraries for you across the Apuan Alps and in the Garfagnana area. The tracks are easy and the groups are small (no more than 6 people). Excursions of a mi-day or one to several days are possible even without special physical preparation. You can visit the Orido di Botri, a narrow canyon with clear cold water and waterfalls, for hiking and swimming on hot summer days.

Cycling and Mountain bike

This astonishing reserve allows you to ride on bike roads or beaten tracks, from the easiest excursion to the conquest of the summits of the the Apuan Alps. Due to its particular geography Versilia actually is the ideal environment for biking. Several cycling competitions such as the famous Giro d'Italia take place here. We organize also biking wine tours.

Golf
Versilia Golf Club is one of the most prestigious golf course in Italy. The beatifull resort is located between the Apuan Alps and the see, nearby the famous beach in Forte dei Marmi. There you will find a falt golf course with 18 holes, equipped with many water hurdles/lakes, sand bunkers as well as pine woods of centuries-old Neapolitan Alders. See here the program.

Horse riding
If you enjoy horse riding there are many possibilities of horse-riding tours as well as 2 or 3 days horseback excursions in the mountains. You may ask for personalized tours with a guide across the Apuan Alps or to you may join some intensive horse-riding course living in the horse farm in the mountains.

In the plain, the natural Parc of Miliarino-San Rossore, spreads on 24.000 ha along the the coast between Viareggio and Leghorn (Livorno), with large pine woods, the Massaciuccoli lake and then leads you to the wild beach side for very relaxing horse riding.

Quad for fun or sightseeing
A panoramic excursion in the heart of Apenins accessing to the most beautiful sceneries. In a group with an experienced guide, on board of funny and easily handling vehicles you will embark on a great discovery of the natural beauty on top of the town of Bagni di Lucca.

The route starts on asphalted tracks and continues off-road up to the Mount Prato Fiorito at 1300 m of altitude. It slopes down then in the canyon Orrido di Botri, inserted in a hilly landscape, dominated by the peaks of Mount Rondinaio and Tre Potenze situated at 2.000 m of altitude. Here you may take a break for lunch and relaxation, submerged in the natural environment.

Canoe, kayak and rafting
On the Lima and Serchio river, in the middle of the virgin forest, you may enjoy canoe and rafting together with instructors.

On the beach you may practice all manners of basic sports as well as sealing boat training on the sea. You may hire a boat for 2 or 3 day excursion in Ligurian "Bay of poets" or for one week excursion to nearby islands.

Paragliding, deltaplane and parasailing

For those who like strong sensations, we can arrange flying activities such as paragliding in Decimo or deltaplan in Pizzorne (both at 45 km from Viareggio).

In Viareggio you may try the parasailing, flying with the parachute behind a fully equiped powerboat at 150 m under the sea, starting from and landing on the boat's platform.
